Kaolack Créations Size Guide: African Silhouettes & Cuts

Our pieces are cut from artisanal fabrics — bogolan, indigo galafini, manjak woven fabric. These materials have little stretch: if you're between two sizes, choose the larger one.

How to take your measurements (cm)

  • Bust: horizontal tape measure at the fullest point.
  • Waist: natural hollow, without tightening.
  • Hips: widest part of the pelvis.
  • Men (chest circumference): under the armpits, shoulders relaxed.

Textile & Cut Tips

  • Low-stretch fabrics: prioritize comfort in the shoulders/hips. Hems can be altered, tightness cannot.
  • Simple alterations: hems, waist darts, sleeve lengths.
  • Care: bogolan cold wash (gentle spin); galafini wash separately at first; manjak delicate wash.
