Care
To keep your Manjak woven pagnes scarf in perfect condition, we recommend machine washing at 40°C and ironing with a hot iron.
The Manjak are artisans spread across an area extending from Guinea-Bissau to Senegal, including Gambia, who have always woven this unique fabric, rich in history and symbols. This luxurious fabric, called "sëru rabeul" or "sëru ndiaago" in Senegal, is used in ceremonies at all important stages of life. 100% Made in Africa, our Manjak woven pagnes scarves/stoles are made according to ancient and endogenous traditions, with exceptional quality and unique artisanal savoir-faire.
At Kaolack Créations, we value African fabrics and offer our customers a piece of authentic tradition while allowing the artisans and artists who hold this savoir-faire to earn a decent living from their work, in order to perpetuate this age-old tradition.
