Collection: Bogolan

Bogolan is a woven fabric dyed using a very ancient traditional West African technique, made with plants and minerals (roots, leaves, earth, etc.). The cotton is hand-woven in strips by weavers on a wooden loom. The white cotton strips are assembled and then dyed manually.

Not all Bogolan pieces are alike. Through the repetition of small, symbolic, meaningful patterns, the meticulous and precise work makes the Bogolan pieces selected by Kaolack Création exceptional.

The production of Bogolan is part of a sustainable development and fair trade approach between the Artisan Creators and the Kaolack Créations brand.
