In short: NIT is an earring in bronze gilded with gold, shaped by hand in Africa, drawing a stylized human silhouette. It measures 4.6 cm high by 2.1 cm wide, weighs only 3 g, and fastens with a bronze post and butterfly back. It is the first design in the Aldiana collection.

A form, a name, an immediate presence. NIT is made for women who know what they want to wear, and why: a piece that is exact, recognizable, worn on purpose.

The NIT design

Its name comes from Wolof: nit means person. The form suggests a stylized silhouette, deliberately pared back. It is a design choice, not a reference to a traditional symbol.

Its gilded color draws the light and lifts the face, even with the simplest outfit. Light despite its height, it goes on in the morning and is forgotten by midday.

NIT and style

With a white shirt, NIT becomes the only accessory you need. With a black dress or a dark top, it creates a warm contrast. With a bogolan or handwoven outfit, it extends the identity of what you are wearing. Close-cropped, braided or pinned-up hair, it underlines the profile and becomes the focal point.

Shaped by hand in Africa

NIT is made by hand by Moustapha and his team, artisans who specialize in bronze, in small batches. The metal is melted, cast, then worked by hand to reach its final form. Each piece keeps the faint marks of its making: that is not a flaw, it is the signature of handwork.

Bronze and the gold gilding

The gilding gives NIT a warm, deep glow that flatters the face on every skin tone. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, is sturdy and built to last.

Care

A soft cloth is enough for everyday care. To bring back the shine of the gilding, a metal polish applied with a cloth restores the original luster in a few minutes. Take your earrings off before showering or swimming.

Fair pay

Kaolack Créations works directly with Moustapha and his team, with no middleman. We work with each of them directly, over the long term, and we pay the price they set.

Frequently asked questions
