  • Hand-woven cotton: Kente, Senufo, Manjak, bogolan, Galafini, Faso Dan Fani, Léppi
  • Cotton poplin linings
  • Artisan tailoring in Senegal and West Africa
  • Pieces for women, men and unisex

Why choose hand-woven cotton?

Cotton is a natural fiber, soft on the skin and breathable: you can wear it in summer without overheating, and in winter under a coat or layered. Hand-woven, it gains density and structure: the garments last for years instead of being replaced every season. It is also a choice of slower fashion that supports weavers and tailors.

FAQ

Are your clothes really 100% cotton?

Yes. Our cloths are hand-woven cotton and our linings are cotton poplin. The only exceptions are stated on the product page, such as a fleece-lined scarf or an insulated beanie.

Can I wear hand-woven cotton in summer?

Yes. It is a breathable material, ideal in hot weather, and our roomy cuts let the air flow.

How do I care for hand-woven cotton clothing?

Cold wash, by hand or on a delicate cycle, dry in the shade, no tumble dryer. Each product page details the care for its cloth.
